She is responsible for processing open records requests per the Texas Public Information Act. Ms. Blanton joined the Office of Legal Affairs in 2015 and has 22 years of experience as a paralegal. She earned her BA Degree in English from James Millikin University and is a graduate of the UTSA Paralegal Program. She was born in McAllen, Texas, but spent most of her childhood in San Antonio, Texas, and Decatur, Illinois.
One of the greatest blessings in my life was the gift of fabulous grandparents. I spent most of my childhood with both sets of grandparents, which significantly impacted who I am. It never occurred to me that many grandparents/elderly in the world do not have the many blessings that mine did, nor the love and attention of family and friends. Volunteering and being on the board of Kingβs Compassion have allowed me to assist in supporting our elderly friends in San Antonio. They are without basic necessities and someone to care for them when they are in need. I feel very blessed to be a part of Kingβs Compassion!
