RACHEL CALAMACO JONES

VOLUNTEER /OUTREACH COORDINATOR

Rachel Calamaco Jones is a creative with a huge heart for ministry and community. She is a wife, blended family mother of five, and entrepreneur of Breaking Darkness Apparel; a ministry including Christian apparel and hosting local bible studies and worship nights. Moving to San Antonio from Chicago in 2001, she grew to love San Antonio and has branched out into the community in many ways, including partnering with local non profits to support their vision. She carries a background in fashion, retail, marketing and media.

After leaving a career of 20+ years in retail management she made the decision to follow her passion for ministry and joined King’s Compassion. While interviewing she fell in love with the heart and mission of serving the elderly community. Seeing first hand the needs of King’s Compassions’ seniors, she took the leap to go full time into nonprofit ministry. Rachel is the Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator and enjoys connecting and serving our elderly community in all aspects. She oversees our volunteer teams and establishes business partnerships with organizations looking to come alongside King’s Compassion’s mission.

β€œSuccess is walking in the calling and purpose that God has given us. Using our gifts and talents for His glory and not our own. Helping others walk in theirs by using the tools and gifts that we have been given to bring that out of others.” -Rachel Calamaco Jones
