Yamilet "Yami" Carpio was born in Panama City Panama while her father served there in the US Army. Yami went on to graduate high school from Seoul American High School In Korea where she earned an Army ROTC scholarship to Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington Missouri where she graduated with an associates degree in Military Science. She went on to finish her degree in Lawton Oklahoma at Cameron University where she earned bachelor's degree in Romance Languages with a commission in the United States Army as an Intelligence Officer. Yami  served ten years in the active duty Army and five years in the Texas National Guard. Yami has been employed as a Program Manager with Booz Allen Hamilton working with the US Army on Fort Sam Houston for fifteen years. She has three children and enjoys spending her free time at the dance studio where her daughter has been dancing for over fourteen years. Yami's hopes with joining Kings Compassion is to make a difference within San Antonio and grow the awareness of Kings Compassion to others.
